5 things in my closet:
1. Until I finally tossed it last week, a stuffed bear dressed lushly as a major in a marching band, wearing shiny black boots that when you touched made him sing “Do you love me?” and wiggle his hips. Freaking Grandparents. Oh, how I wish I could find a picture for you as proof.
2. A bunch of broken chairs and computers that Ken says he’ll fix.
3. A cat’s litterbox. There’s nowhere else to put it!
4. A Junior Scientist kit, no lie! I think these are banned in most stores nowadays.
5. A broken shoe cozy holding tons of tiny useless things we can’t let go of(like an F12 key or fabric paint)
5 things in my purse:
1.They all make fun of me for a giant blue wallet I have which my mom gave for X-mas.
2. A really large camera I can hide behind for all special occasions.
3. A really large old-fashioned iPod with all our favorites on it for long waits, including playslists like: Kim’s faves at 38, Liam Strikes 6!, Fi hits 10!, Roadtrip 2006, Dinner music, Belated Bro B-day, and so on. Add to that several hundred podcasts and some audiobooks and we’re good to go.
4. A really large journal just in case humans ever vanish from the earth and I have no one to talk to during the kids’ classes.
5. Some arnica, because “Be Prepared” is still my motto.
5 things in my car:
1. A mysterious mold culture that lives in my vents and makes us all wince with olfactory horror when we turn on the fan, air or heat.
2. Enough crumbs to bread my cutlets tonight.
3. A rock collection from places we’ve been. Kept handy in case we ever find oursleves submerged in a lake and the power windows short out.
4. Thousands of greasy fingerprints on all the rear windows, giving outsiders the impression that we keep rotweillers.
5. A plexiglass divider between the front and rear seats. Starting next week when I take it to the taxicab fixer upper place.

Ugh. So I had the meme all written up and I must have hit the keyboard commant for refresh and I lost it all. I want to :’(, but I think instead I’ll just attempt writing it again later (in word), after the anger subsides, otherwise I fear the meme will turn into things I have and hate. Remember kids….don’t write angry!

Regarding that rock collection in the car–
I actually have a small ball peen hammer tucked into the pocket of my car door. My husband put it there and said, “I picked it up at the hardware store… you know, for the windows. If you ever drive into a river or something you should remember that’s there.”
He was perfectly serious, so I just said, “Okay, thanks.”
