We lost a great father figure this weekend. My stepdad John passed away after a long duel with cancer. This is the picture of the last time the kids saw him a few weeks ago, briefly as I was shuttling them to my dad’s further south. He’ll be missed by all who knew and loved him.
One great memory I have of him is when I shared our multiplication woes with him once, he taught us the “gypsy method” of multiplying from the 6’s and up on your fingers. It is easy and fun. When I asked him where he learned it, he said from his grandfather. So thanks John for passing down a quick method to destress our lives. Rest in peace!
